Real Madrid trio Karim Benzema, Dani Carvajal and Luka Modrić have drawn level with Cristiano Ronaldo on five UEFA Champions League titles thanks to victory in Paris.
Real Madridsvictory in the 2022 UEFA Champions League finalhas enabled Karim Benzema, Dani Carvajal and Luka Modrić to draw level with former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo on five competition victories.
Ronaldo was the first player to win five UEFA Champions League titles, having first lifted the trophy with Manchester United in2008before adding further triumphs with Real Madrid in2014,2016,2017and2018.
Madrids win against Liverpool at the Stade de France means Benzema, Carvajal and Modrić have now also appeared in five final victories. In addition, Casemiro and Toni Kroos played in their fourth final victory in Paris while Andrs Iniesta and Clarence Seedorf the only man to have won the Champions League with three different clubs are also one adrift of Ronaldo.

Kroos and Casemiro actually have five UEFA Champions League titles to their name but took part in only four finals, missing out in 2013 and 2014 respectively, while Bale, Isco and Marcelo have also appeared in four final wins having remained on the bench for the 2022 decider. Team-mate Nacho has also been a member of five victorious squads but featured in only the 2018 final, while several other players have four titles to their name but only three final appearances:
Lionel Messi: 2006*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Barcelona)Gerard Piqu: 2008*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Manchester United, Barcelona)Raphaël Varane: 2014, 2016*, 2017, 2018 (Real Madrid)Xavi Hernndez: 2006*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Barcelona)
Madrids Lucas Vzquez has featured in four victorious squads but appeared in the final in only 2016 and 2022, while Mateo Kovačić has four winners medals but only a single final appearance, in Chelseas 2021 victory.
Ronaldos tally of four Champions League final goals also puts him out on his own. The Portugal forwards first showpiece effort was for United against Chelsea in 2008, and he also found the net in the final minute of added time against Atltico in 2014. Ronaldo added two further goals against Juventus in Cardiff in 2017.
He remains some way of adrift, however, of the joint all-time record of seven European Cup final goals held by fellow Real Madrid luminaries Alfredo Di Stfano and Ferenc Pusks.
